Process time for visiting visa from kingston jamaica?

Hi. I am currently in the process of getting information sorted out for my husband to visit the uk. We are trying to get the visit for Christmas. I am a bit worried because he doesnt get paid his wages in the bank so i told him from next month he should start depositing his wages in his bank account as proof to show he is getting wages. Also he is financing his own trip. Because we will have proof from oct will it be too late to apply for visiting visa for Christmas? How long does it take for a decision to ne made?

Why not Spouse Visa? Visit visa might raise a few eyebrows.....

Im the n my final year of uni and he has a secured job.

Visitors visas from Jamaica for anyone of working age is tough!!!
I don't think depositing wages from Oct will be enough unless he has substantial savings and even then, I'm not sure...

You also have to bare in mind that the ECO may wonder how likely it is that he will return to Jamaica given that he is coming to his wife.

What other proof does he have that he will return to the island?
