Questions for other dependant visa holders

Post by andz » Fri Aug 17, 2007 6:26 am

We are leaving Aussy at the end of August for the UK.

"to acc spouse" is stamped in my passport.
"UK - Ancestry - Employment" in my wife's passport.

My questions is:
Do I have to carry my wife's passport for job interviews so I can prove that my visa is an employment visa?

No, but you will need your passport. And whilst the employer is not entitled to retain the passport, they are entitled to retain a photocopy of the name/pic page and the visa, to show that they have checked that that you have the right to work in the UK.
