CHANGING 10YRS ROUTE TO 5 YEARS

i was granted 30 months ilr on 10 years route (British partner and British son) but my relationship has broke down with my partner but because we are expecting a child we have decided to stay at the same address but not in any relationship. Can l change it to the 5 years route successful? any help welcomed. Thanks

What application form did you use to apply? Normally, the spouse/unmarried partner (for atleast two years) of a British citizen gets a five year route visa anyway.

As the relationship appears to have broken down, you are going to have to apply in your own right. The only five year route in your own right is by getting a Tier 2 General work visa with a company that has the licence for that.
