Traveling with new PasportWhileBoth old passport n VisaValid

Hi All,

I would be travelling to Uk next month.
I have my Tier 2 dependent Visa stamped on old passport which is the due to expire after 7 months
I have renewed my passport after visa is stamped.

Both my old passport n Visa will be valid when I travel.
My query here is Do I need to inform about my new passport to immigration authorities well before I travel or update somewhere in system or I can travel without informing?

Normally old passport is cancelled (they cut a corner in the old passport) when a new passport is issue. You should carry both the passport. For ease of carrying you can staple old passport at the back of new passport.
