Meeting financial requirement under Category B

Post by baiti.rahman » Fri Jan 08, 2016 7:11 pm

Hi,

My husband is a British citizen and I am a Malaysian with a current visa that allows me to work in the UK. He was still a student prior to July 2015 and therefore was not working and had no income. However, he started permanent employment in September 2015, with an annual gross salary of 26,000. I am also currently employed with an annual salary of 27,500, and had also started working in September.

My current visa is expiring on the 30th of January, and from my understanding, we would have to apply under Category B to use our combined income as evidence that we meet the financial requirement. But since we were both not in employment prior to September 2015, we can only show a total of 5 months payslips (for both of us) along with corresponding bank statements, which will meet the minimum requirement of 18,600 of earnings from the past 12 months.

My question is, if we meet the minimum requirement by providing only 5 payslips will this be sufficient enough?

Thanks in advance for replying, I am getting quite worried now!
