I think you are misunderstanding the requirement. You either need to supply a pass certificate from the Life in the UK Citizenship test, or alternatively a completion certificate from a combined ESOL/Citizenship course.

But the course is only for those of low levels of English, so would not apply to you.

Have you already got your ILR? If so, did you supply one of the above-mentioned certificates when you applied for that? If so, you do not need to meet that requirement again.

Hi John,

I have not received ILR yet but was just wondering to know if i do get one, will i still have to pass ESOL or other life in the UK test as i have been to college for level 3 studies and passed PET which is meant to be for international students.

Cheers

Yes! Pass certificate in the Life in the UK Citizenship test is required, in order to apply for your ILR.
