Family permit and EEA2

I am from Korea and my girl friend is from Italy ..

WE have been together for 1 and a half year....

She's working in the UK and I am with her in the same place on a volunteer visa.. and we are planing to get married in Italy this June or July..

I am just wondering that if I could apply for family permit already or is it only possible after the marriage?? and what kind of documents do I need to prepare and how long it takes???

And If it is also possible to apply for a residence card without a family permit since we are arranging to get married in Italy an Korea ???
