Hello,
To have a better understanding of my circumstances, please read my first post: indefinite-leave-to-remain/financial-re ... 20252.html
My 2.5 years will be up in May 2019. I just pulled out the first letter I received and I realised that the leave I was granted was as a parent and not partner.
Now, I've read a couple of entries on this forum where one individual wanted to change from parent to partner because of some reason I can't remember now.
I want to ask a few questions of my own:
1. Is there any issue extending my visa as a parent? (I'm assuming I'll extend every 2.5 years as a parent until I reach the 10-year limit?)
2. I'm now working full-time (it's been a year in employment October 2018) with husband staying at home looking after our youngest (we have four kids, the oldest is turning 7 in Feb 2019). He'll look for employment next year when our little one joins nursery. My yearly income is £21630. Could I switch to the 5-year route?
3. If yes to question 2, how and when do I do it?
4. Depends on question 3, I decide to go for the 5-year route and then I lose my job or I no longer satisfy the financial requirements, what happens then? Do I go back on the 10-year route (clock reset)?
Thank you to all who reply to this thread!
