FLR M Extension - Sponsors Children From A Previous Relationship

Post by Hartleyp » Sun Jan 13, 2019 1:55 pm

Hi All

Just completed a dry run on the UKVI website so I know what to expect.

Seems they are quite interested in my previous marriage now and children from that marriage. Proof of address, Passports, Birth Cert from my ex wife which might be a challenge.

I have one son who is 18 so assume I don't have to declare him as he is now an adult.

My other son will be 17 when we apply for FLR M extension and was wondering what age UKVI class children - 16 years old or 18 years old?

Be nice if it was 16 and then I can miss out an entire section on providing that info.

TIA.

Hi
I am in the same boat. My daughter has just turned 17 from a previous relationship so have put her on the FLR (M) Form. Didn't realise I needed my ex's birth certificate and utility bills until we reached the mandatory tick page. There is no way he will provide these as we no longer communicate. Rang the Home Office help line and was informed to write a covering letter stating this and they know there can be issues with obtaining these documents and they come across it alot. So eased our minds slightly! Submitting the application on 23 Jan so fingers crossed.Would be good to know if the age was 16 tho.
