Do overstayers exit b4 1st Oct and apply b4 1st Oct at home

Post by sally12345 » Sat Jun 07, 2008 11:44 pm

Hi All,

I have a few concerns and wonder if anyone can shed some light on my situation at hand.

My story in short is my partner of 4 years is an overstayer from Jamaica we are taking advantage of the concession that is in place and we are leaving in September?

My paper work in nearly sorted but I just wanted to ask do we have to apply in Jamaica before 1st Oct 2008 or is that we just have to exit the UK before this date?

I have heard many people say that you still have to make the application before the above date! in your home land

I am just a little worried as I still have to include a few bits but these documents wont be ready until Oct….

I have in the last year worked really hard on my partner’s case and im worried that if I apply in mid Oct then he will have the 1 ban???????? Please help thanks
