I have realised that my housing report, marriage certificate, landlord letter, personal statements have been retained by the home office
All other paperwork was returned
Can the home office keep this information?

Usually they are returned along with other documents but still until the decision gets finalized they can hold them.
The opinion expressed as above is neither a professional advice nor contesting/competing to other member's opinion/advice.

Decision was a refusal but the missing documents were not returmed
There are 8 pieces of documents not returned
Unforrunately the refusal happened in september
I am in the process of getting ready to reapply and that is when i realised that these docs were not with me
I am hoping that the time lapse doesnt mean tgat i cant get these back
They were sent to Sheffield S11 0FX
I cant see an email to write to regarding this matter

Some of my the documents they never returned. Including an important legal one for our son.

If you look at the news they lost a huge amount of documents in the past. One of the reasons they are changing to self scan and send!

Sorry to give you the bad news. Let us know how contact HO goes.

What is the best way to contact them regarding this matter?
Shall i write a letter to the Sheffield address?
In the light of GDPR its important information that they have retained from me
