FLR Spouse Visa Docs - 2 months to application date

Post by hhsmp » Sun Aug 04, 2019 7:30 pm

Hi,

In a bit of a pickle as my wife's visa expires 4th October 2019 and I do not have documents in joint name although we never lived apart and also have a 19 months old baby.

What if the co habitation documents (bills etc) aren't on her name. It is on my name and if i change them tomorrow morning it is only 2 months from the date of application.

So far my wife has:
Bank statement
NHS
Licence
Mobile Phone Bill
Store/Cinema subscriptions etc.

Any help in regards to what should i do if documents are made in joint name from tomorrow onwards and visa expiry is in less than 6 months?

Anxiously waiting for some guidance.

Thanks
Rgds,
-hhsmp

You need either docs in joint names or individually addressed to each of you. There is no rule that it must be jointly addressed per document.

Thanks for the reply. Where i am really struggling is that if min req is for 6 months my wife only has the following in her name:

So far my wife has:
Bank statement
NHS
Licence
Mobile Phone Bill
Store/Cinema subscriptions etc.

Nothing like home bills (utility etc) for that period. I have 2 months left and not sure if that would be considered as not enough.

You need evidence of cohabitation for the last 2 years.

We got married in Sep 2016 and she came back (was studying before marriage) here with me in January 2017 after BRP arrived 21/12/16.

Since then we have been together in the same house for first 6 months and then for the rest of the time 2.5+ years in our new house. Only problem is that most of the docs are on my name and nothing on joint or on hers apart from the ones I mentioned above.

They are 5 and of course from at least 3 different sources. I am sure the following you should have on her name which you can add to it to fulfill the requirement.
Hospital/gp letter, voter registration letter, new sim card letter, car insurance, DVLA/HMRC correspondence etc.

1) Bank statement - 6 months+
2) NHS Registration- 6 months+ (appointment letters etc)
3) Licence - 6 months+ (test + lessons etc)
4) Mobile Phone Bill - 6 months+ (Online only?)
5) Store/Cinema subscriptions - 6 moths+
6) E.ON Heat - 2 months
7) Affinity Water - 2 months
8) Voter Reg - 2 months
9) DVLA (theory test pass certificate)?
10) HMRC Correspondence? What in specific here?

These all can be used but they must cover the duration of last 2 years. HMRC correspondence means NINO notification, employment history, P60/P45, tax refund/outstanding etc.

Cover 2 years? As in should start from atleast 2 years?
I think i am terribly late on changing bills for her name and now very worried. With the list above anything that is 2 ish months you suggest wouldn't hold any value?

The requirement is that you have between 3 and 6 individual sources, spread evenly (every 3 to 4 months) covering the two years, in either joint names or addressed individually to the same address.

It means you will have massive gap in cohabitation documents which won't work.

oh no!

If i am able to find documents dated at individual times all across 2 years it could work?

For example a bank statement which started Cinema Subscription Jan 2018, June 2018, NHS registration letter Dec 2018, Water Bill July 2019 etc?

That's some relief.

So i need to find 6 (or more) documents with dates spread across 2 years right?
Child birth/hospital visits/ birth certificate/birthday bookings etc. Do they matter as well?

Ok great. I will start compiling the docs and seek guidance as i go along then. Wonder why so many people stress on just getting the bills and only do 6 months before application as clearly there are more than 6 different sources required.
