Bereavement

Post by susanmsalila » Tue Jul 29, 2008 4:43 pm

Can someone tell me the following: I am a UK citizen, my husband has indefinite leave to remain, however what will his position be if I die? Incidentally, we have twin daughers. He has been in the country for 5 years, married for 4, he does not want to become a citizen as he would have to renounce his Tanzanian citizenship to do this.

Many thanks for any help, Susan

His settled status will remain unchanged, until he fails to qualify as a returning resident after any subsequent trips outside the UK.
