Has someone made an offer on your property yet? If not, there's a chance you would have received a decision.bodrul2 wrote: ↑Thu Jan 14, 2021 5:26 pmHi
I applied for a spouse visa just over 2 months ago and still awaiting a decision.
I own my property which I used for the application as accomodation.
However I am in the process of selling the property and moving homes.
So I am wondering if this will effect the application in any way? Do I also need to inform the home office about any home move or change of address?
Thank you
Bodrul
That's correct assuming you applied from abroad then that's the case. BRP will be available at the choosen post office when filling the application form online. You don't need to be worried because probably before the completion of the sale of house, you would have heard from the UKVI.bodrul2 wrote: ↑Thu Jan 14, 2021 9:51 pmI have an offer on the flat and near completion on the sale.
I still have to find and buy a property afterwards too.
I thought the BRP is picked up from the post office and not sent via post, that's what I had to select a branch to pick up from when I did my wife's application.
I am worried now if this might have any implications.
Thank you for the replies.
I do not believe not changing the address will affect your application so you are better off leaving things the way they are.bodrul2 wrote: ↑Thu Jan 14, 2021 10:21 pmThank you very much Todd, the application indeed was made from abroad. I didn't think anything would be posted to the address, I think it will be another 2-4 weeks for completion. Not confident that my wife's visa will be granted in that time, apparently their is big back logs and long processing times at the moment because of the pandemic.
Will I still need to change the address if my wife somehow does arrive before completion? I will most likely be staying at family home in the meantime until I have found a new place.
For application made from abroad the BRP will be collected from post office after your spouse arrives and so this should not have a negative impact on the application.bodrul2 wrote: ↑Thu Jan 14, 2021 10:21 pmThank you very much Todd, the application indeed was made from abroad.
