Spouse Visa - Non-Custodial Offense

Post by pdhi3592 » Wed Feb 17, 2021 2:55 pm

Hi everyone, I’ve done some research on this matter but personal experiences are always useful. I am looking to apply for a family visa to join my spouse in the UK from the USA.

However, back in 2017, I had a small offense which resulted in a conditional discharge (marijuana related), completed in December 2018.

Since then, I’ve completed my undergraduate degree and have had a good career. I’m thinking of getting it expunged to be safe, but has anyone had a similar experience and did it impact your application?

Please note all other requirements are met such as minimum income of spouse, etc.

Any help is appreciated!
