FLR (M) Checklist

Post by UKJetter » Tue Mar 02, 2021 11:32 am

Good morning everyone. I've learned a massive amount just by browsing this forum, particularly when it comes to potential pitfalls and some of the less than clear questions asking on the application form.

Now it's finally my wife's turn to apply for FLR (M) having been on a spouse visa since 2018.

Current BRP (Visa?) expiry is 26th March and we'll be completing the online application at the end of the week so I wanted to run our list of documents by your eyes for comment:

ID:

APPLICANT BRP
APPLICANT Passport Copy x 2 (all pages of current and old passport containing leave to enter sticker).
SPONSOR Passport Copy (current passport only)

Correspondence:

September 2018 - APPLICANT DWP NI letter / SPONSOR HMRC letter
January 2019 - JOINT Northumbrian Water bill
May 2019 - JOINT Council Tax bill
September 2019 - APPLICANT Bank statement / SPONSOR Gas/Electric bill
October 2019 - APPLICANT TV Licence letter / SPONSOR Credit card statement
February 2020 - APPLICANT Banks statement / SPONSOR Student Loans Co. letter
March 2020 - JOINT Council Tax bill
April - JOINT Yorkshire Water bill
August 2020 - APPLICANT NHS Appointment letter / SPONSOR Bank statement
September 2020 - APPLICANT Appointment letter / SPONSOR HMRC letter
January 2021 - JOINT - Yorkshire Water bill

Roughly evenly spaced however as you can see, compressed in places. Largely for my piece of mind to ensure no more than 4 months between correspondence. Thoughts?

Given we are applying this month (March) would correspondence for Feb be useful (if I can find any) or is Jan OK?

Accomodation:

I own and mortgage home solely in my name. My wife has however selected "I own" home rather than "neither own or rent" as we don't rely on a third party here. Thoughts?

I have provided land registry statements, mortgage statement, council tax bill dated March 2020 and utility bill dated Jan 2021. I have also written a cover letter to say my wife does have "permission" if they so which for her to even need "permission" to stay in our home.

Relationship:

Marriage certificates including translation used for initial spouse visa application in 2018.

Non-applying child:

Simple cover letter plus birth certificate and Gas/elec bill dated January to prove fathers (i.e. my address) address.

Employment/Financial:

I will be my wife's SPONSOR and meet the financial requirements through salary. As such, I will provide:

Letter from HR per guidance.
Previous 6 months payslips (Sept - Feb)
Previous 6 months bank statements showing payments made (i.e. statements Oct - Mar)

Language Requirements:

APPLICANT Trinity College B1 certificate

Signed declaration for spouse (i.e. ME)

Consent for Home Office to verif
y

Part 1 - APPLICANT (wife)
Part 2 - SPONSOR (myself)
Part 3 - Have not signed and just written NA on it. I own and mortgage house solely in my name.

Presumably, certain evidence can be re-used in multiple categories if required?

Any help and thoughts would be much appreciated. Thank you.
