Wrong amount of IHS paid + employment checking

Hello,

I'm applying for spouse visa in the UK. I have done my application and submitted documents.
After submitting my application and documents, I realised that I have put the wrong IHS number which is my current IHS number. So I paid my IHS and uploaded cover letter to provide the new IHS number.
However, I then realised I paid the wrong amount of IHS fee!
I've seen people in the same situation who have been contacted by HO to top-up the rest of fee in this kind of situation, but what I'm concerned about is my company requested an employment check today, I wonder if this mistake will have an affect on employment checking.

How will this affect the employment check that my company have already requested? Could it be rejected based on this? Would I be better off paying the correct IHS fee and getting a refund on the other payment? Or should I wait to be contacted for the correct payment?

My biometric appointment is scheduled for next month.
