My spouse received their Spouse Family Visa BRP last year in the middle of the pandemic. As they had a previous UK visa, they were able to use the IDV app and did not have to submit any new biometrics/fingerprints.
This summer on returning from a holiday abroad, the Home Office officer informed us that as the BRP was issued during Covid-19, biometric data had not been attached to the card. We were delayed at the airport as a result as they did more checks/look up previos visas. They asked us to inform the Home office that the BRP has no biometrics attached and we reported a faulty BRP to the Home office but have not heard anything back from them.
Anyone else in a similar situation and has received any instructions from the Home office? We have some travels coming up and not sure if it’s safe to travel anymore.
