Sharing our experience and making this post for community's benefit.

We are currently in the process of making my wife's spouse visa extension application.
There is an English language requirement.

We considered the Ecctis (formerly UK Naric) route - in the hope that the same certificate can be used at the ILR application time, thus saving us from taking IELTS on two occasions.

The application process at Ecctis was straight forward.

The main unknown was what level of equivalency will be granted and whether this will be a waste of effort or will we be able to use this equivalency for the extension and for the ILR application.

My wife had achieved the Bachelor of Science degree (Geo Physics) from Bahria University Islamabad.
The Ecctis have granted a CEFR level B1 for this degree.

Hope this experience sharing will be helpful for the community.
