Good evening all,
My fiance worked in the UK under a Tier 2 work visa from March 2016 to July 2017. We are now applying for a Fiance visa for her to move to the UK to live with me.
On the application form it asks for her National Insurance Number. Looking at her two P60s from when she worked in the UK, neither show a NIN (the box is blank) and NI contributions for both years were zero. She has a letter from HMRC from when she moved to the UK giving her a NIN but in a format which is not recognised or accepted by the application form (it is in the format 00 A0 00 00 instead of the usual AA 00 00 00 A).
My feeling is that she did pay NI (which is a legal requirement) but because she didn't have a NIN it was not credited against the P60.
My question is whether this will affect any of the application if she leaves the box blank for NIN on the application form, or if this will arouse suspicion by the ECO because she was known to have worked in the UK?
As part of the application we are using my salary as the financial support. Is there any need to upload her P60s, payslips or anything to do with her working in the UK previously, as part of the Additional Information you can upload? Or would it suffice to just upload her application form from her previous visa and the passport scan which shows the visa was granted?
