Maiden name on BRP

Hi,

My now wife received her BRP today with her maiden name on it after we were granted a spouse visa.

We are looking to travel to Romania next year to update her ID card and passport name to her married name.

Question is will she be ok to enter the UK after if her passport is in her married name and her BRP is in her maiden name? Can/should we ask for teh BRP to be updated?

Seems strange we gave marriage certificate but they sent it as maiden name - guess it has to match the passport?

It does have to match the passport.

Can't comment on possibility/issues in entry with surnames mismatch - I would assume they'll let it slide if you csn show marriage cert and explain it, but that's just unnecessary hassle that csn be avoided.

Can you not update her passport in the embassy here, so you can do the whole process without leaving UK?
