UK Spouse Visa - Proving Subsisting Relationship

Good Afternoon all,

I desperately need your help and advice on how I can prove my relationship is subsisting.

I had an arranged marriage to my wife in Pakistan on 25th November 2023.

Was arranged by family in September 2023 and I am in constant communication with her since November 2023 and we married on 25th November 2023. And I returned to UK on 27th November. Applied for visa on 2nd January 2024

We have original official marriages certificate. Her passport and ID card state my name as husband.

We have many photos of us on the wedding, including with my/her family. 

We have photos the day after the wedding for a meal we went to.

I have a WhatsApp call log showing we call everyday. I have WhatsApp texts showing the same.

This is all I have for my evidence that I will upload, considering it was arranged and I had to come back to the UK soon after the wedding. So I rely heavily on WhatsApp communication.

I am worried that while they agree it's genuine, they will reject based on subsisting relationship. 

Any help? Advice please?

Good afternoon,

I was in similar situation as you. It was arranged in November 2021, got married at the end of December 2021, and returned to UK at beginning of January 2022. Probably the only difference is I knew her from my primary school but barely had any communication until we got engaged.

The evidences I submitted were the same as you listed. The only thing I'd add is a cover letter explaining your situation and just add more details about your relationship. I think I made the point that marriage without dating may seem strange, but it is not unusual for people where I came from and because of religious reasons.

Gives me reassurance. I totally agree, the religious and cultural aspect doesn't allow for us to date before the marriage and literally when we got married, I spent one day with her (took photos and went back to UK)

So with your limited evidence. Did they pass first time? Did they interview you guys at all?

Yes passed first time, got the decision in 3 weeks after application. Neither of us was interviewed.

I am giving lots of information. Cover letter from me, cover letter from my uncle and wife's brother who arranged everything. Wedding invite, WhatsApp daily call log, WhatsApp daily messages, Gift receipts. Plane ticket receipt that I have booked for April (where hopefully I can bring her uk)

So I have lots and lots for the relationship. Just the photos was lacking, only had two days with her and then back to UK for work. So I was worried

Just a question - did I need to send evidence of me travelling to Pakistan?
I have the Pakistan marriage certificate and photos of the wedding in Pakistan (where my wife lives) and photos of us together in Pakistan.

Would I need to send proof to show I traveled abroad?

Sending it would boost subsisting relationship as it evidence travelling to be with each other. Airline ticket, boarding pass etc.
