Spousal Visa - Redundancy

Post by AdrianG » Sun May 25, 2025 6:41 am

My Wife (Living in the US) and I are currently in the process of applying for a spousal visa for her to join me here in the UK.
I currently have a decent job working for the NHS and earning 36k and have done for the last 11 years. I am however taking voluntary redundancy due to a reorganisation which I had previously agreed with them at the end of September 2025 (in 4 months time).

We have all the payslips, bank statements etc ready from the last year but our slight concern is the employment letter. My employer is likely to include the redundancy and end date in the letter. Will this cause a problem or is the payslips etc from the last year the only thing that matters?

I will be employed on date of application and for 4 months after and obviously expect to find another job soon after.

Any advice would be really appreciated. Thank you.
