Hi all,
Wondering if you could clear something up for me please.
I'm here in the UK on a EU family member permit as the unmarried partner of an EU citizen living here. I was previously in the UK as a student (1999-2001), then reentered as a working holiday maker (2001-2003) and then switched to student again.(2003-2005) Whilst I was on my student visa, I applied for FLR as being the unmarried partner of an EEA/EU citizen exercising his treaty rights.
That was in 2005. ( I applied Jan 05 and received my passport back and stamped in March 05) We had been living together in a relationship akin to marriage for two years (from Jan 2003) when we applied. In my passport they gave me FLR until 2010.
I now am looking at the SET(M) forms (as we are still living in a relationship akin to marriage) and it seems after two years of FLR I could have applied for ILR. Is this right? I could've applied in 2007?
If so, should I/we just apply now and not wait until 2010?
My concern is that, whilst I was living with my partner between 2003 and 2005 (the two years before applying for FLR) I was on a working holiday and then student visa, which are/were? apparently not visas that you could accrue years on for settling. So I have now only lived for four and a bit years on a visa which would accrue years for settling.
Any ideas?
Thanks
