Hello
I came to the UK IN 1999 from zimbabwe on a visitors visa when i was 12, to visit my mother and 2 older sisters who were all students at that time. My sisters are now british citizens but i am still battling the Home Office. The 1st problem came when my mums bogus lawyer sent my passport to the home office for a student visa when i was only 12 instead of joining onto my mums visa as a depandant. The Home Office rejected the application but did not send back my passport. it was lost in their achives and it took a little over 7 years, more bogus lawyers and nearly £10 000 in legal fees for them to admit this. By then i was turning 19 and could not go on my mums visa. After years of phone calls and visits to the home office I gt this result through my MP. I then tried to apply for indefinate leave to remain for compasionate grounds under the right to family life since they had lost my passport and i had been here for so long, but this was rejected as my mother is not settled yet. I am currently waiting for a high court date for my appeal on this case, but it has been over 2years now.
IS THERE ANY LAWS THAT PROTECT CHILDREN WHO COME TO THE UK AS MINORS BUT DO NOT OBTAIN LEGAL STATUS DUE TO THEIR PARENTS MISTAKES?????( please bare in mind i was 12 and did not have a clue that my immigration status was getting worse each day)
I cannot work, i cannot study as my family cannot afford the international fees. HOW CAN I SOLVE THIS ISSUE PLEASE HELP.
