Indian Spouse in France : Visa?

Post by girishdh » Wed Oct 19, 2005 10:46 pm

I'm of Indian origin and I'm working in Paris, France since 9 months now. I have CDI contract. I will get married in December, and would certainly like that my spouse joins me as soon as possible in France. I have enquired with OMI and they say that to get the dependant visa to her it will take minimum of 6 months upto 1 year of time. And I'm not happy.

Can you tell me what is the best option for her to come as soon as possible. As far as I have understood the system, I came with following 3 questions:

(1) Shall I get a normal tourist visa and then when she comes here we apply for the "carte de sejour"?
(2) Is it possible to apply for carte de sejour when you are already in France on tourist visa?

(3) I saw one article in the french laws that if the position of the person (that is me in this case) is higher that is he has the signing authority in the organization OR acting as Manager OR has income of 5KEuros per month... then it is possible that his\her spouse can get the "carte de sejour" mmediately to come to france. Is it true? http://www.sante.gouv.fr/adm/dagpb/bo/2 ... 211534.htm

I will be realy greatful for your suggestions.

Thank you and best regards,

Girish
