review accepted but cant get the letter

Post by aftabm786 » Wed Nov 03, 2010 2:23 pm

My wife’s application for entry clearance was initially refused, but this decision has now been overturned on review. As a result my wife was sent a letter asking her to attend at the ‘Gerrys’ office islamabad and provide her passport so that she can be issued with the visa. However, this letter did not reach my wife, as the postman was unable to locate the address. My wife was then contacted by telephone and asked to present at the ‘Gerrys’ office with her passport. My wife did so, but was told at the office that she must bring a copy of the letter with her. Clearly, my wife does not have a copy of the letter, as it never reached her, given that the postman was unable to locate her address.
what shall i do now. how can i get the letter?

Contact local BHC (if emailing or writing a letter, give details of the application such as date of application, application reference no., name, nationality, date of birth) and enquire how you should proceed, given the circumstances.

Have you visited Gerry Fedex offices in Islamabad and told them you cant find letter and give them details of your wifes Pakistani passport. They should be able to track down whether visa will be issued or not.The letter is not essential, they should have a record anb copy of teh letter on file

Was it overturned before or after appeal?

In that case, your file will be with the ECM based in Croydon where all Pak settlement cases are dealt with. Try contacting them, their email is somewhere in the forum "spousal visa from Pakistan " section.
