should i anticipate any problems on arrival for visit visa?

Post by abbas_ali » Mon Jul 18, 2011 6:27 am

Hello all,

my grandparents will be coming here in a few days on a visit visa. I know UKBA normally like to grill visitors, especially those from high risk countries like Pakistan. Should i expect my grandparent's to be interviewed etc. when they arrive? I know there will be some form of check but they are elderly, on an innocous visit so should i expect them to be interviewed for hours on end?

Thanks

P.S. they will not be arriving into heathrow or anywhere like that but rather Glasgow if that helps

If all docs etc are in order,I don't see why they will be interviewed.

They might be asked the standard questions like who are you visiting and why , how long for and where you are staying etc, but nothing more. This might take few minutes, but apart from this they should have nothing else to worry about. You best meet them on arrival, just in case they have any problems.
