Query regarding appeal for settlement visa(spouse)

Post by lucy_2011 » Tue Oct 11, 2011 5:18 pm

Hello All,

A brief background history..
My husband holds UK ILR. I got married to him in July 2011 in UK. My visa got rejected in UK and they asked me to apply from India as I dnt have any appeal rights in UK. I came bk to India and applied for settlement visa on 5th Sept, 2011. Received Refusal letter on 4th Oct, 2011 mentioning the relationship is not genuine. We are planning to appeal. My husband resides in Coventry, West Midlands.

Now i have few questions:

1. We had a conversation with one of the solicitors in Birmingham, who says that right now he doesnt needs any additional docs and will just send a letter to ECO with strong points in reference to the refusal reason... Is there any way anyone can tell me that this is the right way or is he just fooling arnd to make his money?

2. what is the normal fees on an average, solicitors r asking for the entire procedure any any given stage till the time they succeed?

any help would be appreciated....

thnks in advance...

1. Not possible to comment as you have not indicated what evidence has already been submitted. One might assume that you provided everything you had available at the time of the application and therefore anything new, subsequent to the decision, would not be considered for the appeal hearing.

2. Minimum 1K > the sky's the limit
