I want to apply for UK passport but as he is in india I cant apply in Uk. Could you please tell be best options to get him to UK. Try to have some patience, we don't get paid to contribute to the forum helping people - you allowed exactly 4 minutes between your posts!!
visiting visa
British citizens cannot apply for a visit visa for their own country (UK)
come uk with indian passport and certificate of registration as British citizen
Nope, not going to work either because the certificate of registration is not a travel/visa document
apply for ILR for him
British citizens cannot apply for ILR, because they are British and have the right to reside and don't need permission. Also, you cannot apply for ILR outside the UK.

Your best option would be to apply for a Certificate of Entitlement or Right of Abode in India.

If you search the forum, you will find that many people apply for British passports if their UK born child is abroad and you can apply using fast track which takes 1 to 2 weeks. Not sure if the foreign passport will be needed though so CoE or RoA might be the best option.

CoE or RoA is placed in the Indian passport and the child will be able to enter the UK with just that in the foreign passport.

https://www.gov.uk/right-of-abode/overview

https://www.gov.uk/government/publicati ... t-of-abode

Once the child is here, you can then apply for a British passport if you wish.

That's sufficient.

Note that child may apply for either a British passport or a CoE-RoA. Cannot hold both at the same time.

Thanks for sharing the information.

I have question. Is my child is eligible for RoA because I have tier 1 at the time of his birth. But after I got ILR I have applied for Certificat of registration as British citizen and now he has certificate too. I read RoA process of child. Most of the cases parents has ILR at the time of child birth. Will my child get RoA in my case is the Question now?

Yes.
Child is eligible for CoE-RoA because child is British 2(1)(a) without a British passport.
Child is British because of registration.

Hi,

For Right to abord application. Do I have to show the financial status or maintenance of funds?

Hi,

What is the processing time for RoA in India?
I have applied for fast processing of RoA today in Hyderabad.
VFS Hyderabad people don't know how much time it will take to process the application.
Could anyone please let me know what is the processing time for Standard and fast process application.

Regards,
Krishna

That's incorrect. Child being British is sufficient for RoA.
