If you haven't already done so, get your local MP involved. That often resolves the situation.

Please don't send me PMs asking for immigration advice on posts that are on the open forum. If I haven't responded there, it's because I don't have the answer. I'm a moderator, not a legal professional.

Casa, thanks for the reply. I sent a mail to Chennai office last week, they replied on the next day saying they are still waiting for determination letter from Birmingham ECO presenting unit. Shall I give some time or is it best to contact MP ASAP?

I have received the call letter today. He's been told to take TB test and then submit the passport and TB certificate. Any ideas on how long its gna take to return the passport?

He may enter the UK at any time within the validity period of his visa. However, to prevent an unnecessary extension of stay, the sooner, the better. If his visa is valid for 33 months, then he should enter with 3 months.
