IHS fees - urgent

Post by RadUK2016 » Wed Jun 15, 2016 12:44 pm

Hi Guys,

Thanks for your help.

I have done two online application ( 1 for wife and 1 for daughter 1.7 years):

1. Settlement - Child or Other Dependant of Settled Person --> IHS is coming out to be ZERO and I have paid the application fee and printed form and ready for appointment

2. Settlement - Wife --> IHS fee paid 60000 RS

I have IHS reference number for both but there is no way I can pay IHS fee for Settlement - child, site didn't allow me to pay as it calculated ZERO saying exemption... Is this correct? What to do? Can I go for appointment and pay there at VFS if required.

Will my application be rejected? Need urgent advise on this please. PLEASE PLEASE HELP!

Best Regards,
Radhika

This appears to be a recent inclusion to the IHS exemption, Under 16 year old children are exempt...not under 18s
Your IHS £0.00
Exempt based on being under 16 and applying under visa Route: Settlement - Child or dependant of settled
(Casa, not CR001)

Hi Guys,

Its happen with me as well when I make an application for my kids. The IHS was exempt and I submit the application to vfs.

But today I got this mail

"Mr Jaf

This is with reference to the visa applications made by your spouse and three children.
Please note that HS is applicable for all the three children.

The top up has been created and sent to your e-mail address. Please do check and do the needful before 30/6/2016.

Thank you

Could anyone please advise me should i go-ahead and pay the fee or should i challenge them ?

Thanks in advance for all your suggestions.

How old are your kids and when you applied and paid visa fees ? They dont mention that under 16 year old child of british or settled person are exempt from paying IHS if we look at exemption list of IHS on GOV.UK but there was no way to pay it when they were calculating it zero online so i as assume they can still ask us to pay it later if it was technical error

Similar thing happened to me.

I'm a naturalized UK citizen, moving over with wife and two kids, aged 3 and 5.

Managed to pay for wife, but could not pay for kids (got the exemption message).

Two days ago, I received a mail saying i should come collect the passports as the decision had been made. I was really worried that the Visa's were rejected as no one phoned to ask me to pay in.

However, no issues. Got all three visa's.

Just sharing to prevent anyone worrying unnecessarily..

Can’t understand why two different rules
I applied in April for my daughter(9years) and wife and last week I received an email to pay Child IHS.And paid even almost £630(87000pKR).
Anyone got idea why two different rules and practices?
Thanks
