Spousal Visa Application - Pakistan

i knooooooooooooooo is a hard journey sis..but ur half way ther Inshallah

...soon u wil b united and al this tym wil feel like it was nothing.....trust me..i never ever thawt my huby wil come to UK..cos i also felt really unlucky...but i had so much patience in me..and i remembered Allah soooooo much in this tym..Alhamdulillah!! !....u do the same sis..

...Thank Allah and he wil shower his Blessing on u more and more each day

Asalam everyone

My hubby received an email today

. UKBA emailed us today telling us my hubby's passport is in the last stages of processing..and we should hear something soon and that Gerry's should contact us to arrange the collection of his passport...i hope and pray inshAllah it will be this week... anyone else received these messages..or knows from here how much longer it will take?

InshAllah i hope and pray everyone gets their visas

whatever you said is sooo true sis ...is just at times when my hubby comes online and my son jumps up to kiss the screen i feel so upset and stressed i no i shouldnt be and have patience and mashallah im doing zikar as much as i can and even waking up for tahajat ...thanks for your kind words though x

You shud be able to withdraw your application but I assume u would lose the fee you payed, I'm sure more experienced member will be able to advise.

You are absolutely right. If you withdraw your application, there is a form to fill that one, obviously your money will be lost.

Brother applied March '12 in Lahore. Wife got VISA.

Cousin applied March '12 in Lahore, status is ready to collect. But this wasn't a settlement VISA, this was that EA Family permit one.

Also, the processing times for Pakistan haven't been updated on the UKBA site, still shwoign February times.

You'll be ready to collect your VISA within 10 workign days max now, but more likely your status will change to ready to collect by the end of this week. Good luck.

You should be weary of something like that, as you could potentially lose the fee, £800+ is more than a week's salary for most people, so think about it.

Also if there are some mistakes or possible refusal reasons, they can easily be adddressed in an appeal, no matter how many refusal reasons it it possible to overturn. I know a family friend who's wife was given 6 paragraphs with 14 different points who after appeal got the VISA. Things like the company he works for not havign plc on the salary slips, where £8k went all of a sudden from his bank account (new car which he bought) etc etc.

Don't cancel the application unless it's absolutely necessary, that is if it's yourself who wants to do that and not someone else.

Yeh quite impressive, at least compared to mine.

But here's the insane thing, I prepared the application for my brother, in exactly the same way as mine, in fact most of his docs are the same as mine, but he got VISA and I didn't. Luck of the draw I guess, his ECO was DET mines was JS, so two different ECOs. One much stricter than the other.

The only other thing apart from different eco, it could be his marriage was registered at union council and in ur case union council messed up by not updating the database.

there are things which you can do and there are things you cant. atleast this is in my access and i have control over it as well. being in pakistan it is a little less then a month's salary, come to think of it financial loss isnt a loss

Possibly, since we did marry girls from different cities and the marriages were registered in different councils.
