Spouse Visa extension Queery

Post by Harry438 » Mon Nov 06, 2017 11:53 am

Hello members,

I have a query regarding my spouse visa extension which is due for renewal next year, my question is regarding the financial requirement - we definitely meet the threshold of £18,700 but the only concern i have is my wife who is the sponser is not working as she went back to uni from this sep. so since my income itself will meet the financial requirement, will it be an issue on case worker's mind that my sponser is not working and only i am working ?

You can use only your income if you meet the requirement. This is not an issue.

To avoid any confusion, the minimum income level is £18,600 p.a, not £18,700

thanks CR001, another question is with regards to proof of relationship documents - i am aware that we need 6 set of joint documents so the query i have is does each of the 6 documents needs to be all over 2 years or the documents all together should be combined to 2 years like as an example say if i have 2 documents in duration of 6 months and others for another 18 months which in total is 2 years.

It is 6 different documents, spread evenly over the 2 years if the documents are in joint names. You need more if you don't have enough in joint names. The FLR(M) form states clearly what is required, roughly around page 64/65.
