I have just checked the status of my husband's visa application as it says: 'Your application is forwarded to AC 09 April 2008'

Can someone tell me what this means please?

Yours application is forwarded to Local British embassy and now its in process
Did you submit yours file in Local Fed ex Office?if yes then they forward it to right department.

My husband applied via a VFS Application centre in March. His application was reviewed by the British High Commission, and after 2 weeks he was told to undergo a medical examination. He's done this and passed it without any problems. We are now waiting for his visa. Could the message on the application status website mean his visa has been sent to the application centre where he applied?

No its mean still you need to wait for visa.
its shows just yours application status not visa status
i am sure you will know about visa when you will get yours file back in hands
they will not tell you before
but i wish you best of luck

Has your husband been invited for an interview?

I only ask as I am in the same situation waiting for the web site to update itself. I submitted our application on the 1st and have not heard anything back since... even though they told us we would within 4 working days. I'm assuming we are waiting to be invited for an interview?

ILJSR, can you say in which country your husband applied for his visa?

my husband submitted his application in turkey on the 20th of march. we havent heard anything back yet, and the website keeps saying that it has "arrived at the visa section" can anyone tell me if its normal to wait for this long, and what the next step is. Is it a bad sign for them to have it in for so long?
