Spouse visa expiring on 28 Oct. Applied online on 17 Oct for extension

Post by ilrmumbai » Wed Oct 24, 2018 8:58 am

Dear Gurus,

I have applied online & submitted on 17 OCT for my wife Spouse visa & daughters dependent visa extension. Also Biometric is done.

I am still waiting for Bank statement to come in post which I have ordered on 12 Oct. Its taking too long. Bank has stopped giving stamped copies in the Branch NATWEST BANK.

On the application form Home Office mentioned I need to send the documents within 15 working days from application date.

I am curious to understand that can I send the documents after visa is expired since application is already submitted online? We have few days left on the visa expiring this weekend.

I am confused on this. It looks like I need to wait few more days for bank statement to come through.

Could someone please give their expert advise :)

Try a different branch, but as you are waiting for CR001 to reply, wait for CR001's expert opinion on this.

Hopefully, you should be okay with submitting documents before the decision.

Dear Vinny,

I have managed to get the stamped copy of statements. I have everything ready now.

I am sending this today. I am well under 15 working days. I applied online on 17 Oct. Visa expiring on 29 Oct.

I think this should be fine?

Your application will be considered in time as Vinny explained.
where the application is made via the online application process, the date on which the online application is submitted is the date of application

i am afraid there is no way to track your application unless sending them an email asking about the progress of your application
if you dont mind I would ask you if did you submitted your tenancy agreement?
if is the case, was it one bedroom or 2 bedroom?
thank you in advance.

Hi Mizer,

Thanks for letting me know. I did not submit tenancy agreement. Since it is not mandatory.

Also it is not required to prove accommodation for extension application.

I just provided land lords letter for subsisting marriage, that we are staying in his property for last 2 years.

In my application form I just mentioned we are living on 2 bedroom house.

I posted the same query here. CR001 advised me it is not mandatory to prove accommodation for extension.

spouse visa extension online application acknowledgement letter

Post by ilrmumbai » Thu Nov 01, 2018 10:17 am

Hi All,

I recently applied my wife & daughters spouse & dependent visa extension online. Biometric done few days later & also sent documents last week.

I was wondering if Home office sends any acknowledgement letter to say application is in progress?

Thank you for your input

It is a spouse visa application for an extension within the UK NOT an application from outside the UK.

@ ilrmumbai dont count on them to acknowledge anything or write much to you.

As long as you have signed proof support documents have arrived in Sheffield, just wait for a decision notification.

Tracking FLR(M)

Post by ilrmumbai » Tue Nov 13, 2018 11:01 am

Dear Experts,

I applied for my wife & daughters visa extension online on 17 Oct. Biometric done on 20th Oct & documents sent on 25 Oct, received by Home Office on 26 Oct.

I was wondering if there is a way to check the status. I have seen may people received approval within 1 month.

We haven't received acknowledgement as of yet.

Appreciate your help

Dear Gurus,

I applied for my wife & daughters visa extension on 17 Oct & documents received by Home Office on 26 Oct.

Visa Expiring on 28 Oct.

I haven't received any acknowledgements yet. I have seen many people here have received the same.

Do I need to worry?

Thanks

@ ilrmumbai- please familiarise yourself with forum rules, specifically about multiple posts/topics. Repeating the same question multiple times won't change the advice.

I just called the number for Home Office call centre. But their automated message is saying if application is within described period they are unable to give any status details.

Is this the case? Also no acknowledgement letter received yet.

Thank you in advance for the update

just called the number but automated message said they cannot provide status on application within described period which is I guess 8 weeks.

But we haven't received any letter of acknowledgement?
