Extending UK visitor visa

Hi There,

My wife is a Mainland China citizen currently working in Hong Kong and I am a British man studying in UK.

My wife currently has a UK visitor visa. She came to the UK for two weeks over between Dec 2019 and Jan 2020 and the visa expires in April 2020.

I want to bring my wife to the UK as soon as possible for a few months. Is she eligible to extend her visa so that she doesn't have to return to HK in April?

Hello

Usually no unless you get a visitor visa of less than 6 months. But visitors visas are usually given for 6 months anyway.

It also looks awful in immigration history and may cause issues for future visits.
