Bring wife to be from turkey

Post by Sedat94 » Mon Aug 17, 2020 4:22 am

Hello,
I wanted to know how would i bring my girlfriend over from turkey to the uk? I am a british citizen and her partners have a green passport in turkey.
Once we get married in turkey would her right for having a green turkish passport be taken away from her? She is 20 years old.
Please can someone advise?

Do you mean 'and her parents' ?

If so, my understanding is that she will only be entitled to a Green passport until the age of 25 and is still living with her parents and is unmarried.

Others may be able to advise further and confirm the regulations.

She needs to apply from a country where she has legal residence, ie. not in a country as a visitor. You cannot apply in the UK for her.

If you wish then can fill the application and pay the fee on her behalf. But she will have to visit her local vfs centre for biometrics.
