Booking an Appointment In UK (FLR)

Post by ThaiUK » Wed Dec 23, 2020 9:51 pm

Hi everyone-

I'm currently in the UK on a spouse visa and have just submitted and paid for my IHS and FLR application online which was all accepted no problem. However now I have been put on to 'SOPRA STERIA' website where I have to book an appointment at one of their service centres, however when I go to book an appointment every day just says 'no appointments available'.

What on earth am I supposed to do? :(

In the mean time I will begin uploading supporting documents.

Many thanks.

Keep trying every single day.

The website says that new appointments are 'added daily', any ideas what time they normally become available? What happens if I can't get an appointment?

12AM GMT midnight. If you look just now, you will get one for 20th Jan.

Thank you so much. I will try logging on at midnight. It seems an awful system.

One other question, I'm busy uploading my scanned documents to the website, once I get an appointment do I also need to take the original documents with me to the appointment or only passport and residence permit?

Thanks for any help. :D

You can self-submit your documents so they are sent to UKVI even before biometrics. You may save some processing time.

Just carry originals only (like passport, BRP etc- just to be on the safe side). No need to print soft copies. Take in a USB. Only passport and appointment confirmation is mandatory and checked.

Thanks again for replies.

So I just managed to get an appointment in Manchester for 21st Jan. I had to pay £69.99 for the appointment though, the whole process just seems like a money gouging exercise. :(

I will finish uploading documents over the next week, and then take with me to appointment on USB stick as suggested, also print out of appointment code, and original passport (present and previous) and BRP.

Thanks again for the help, I just hope I'm including all required documents now. :?

These days majority appointments are paid

Thank you Cullinan, I will do as you suggested. I will post back here in the next few days with my final document list, hopefully someone will give thoughts on it.

At least now I feel a little more confident that I'm on the right track. :D

Hi again everyone.

I'm currently checking over my documents for my FLR (M) application and have a quick question. Do I need to include a Appendix 2 (VAF 4A) Financial Requirement Form with the application as was done for the original settlement visa application?

Many thanks for any input that may help....

Does this look like the appropriate documents?

Bank statements covering 6 months up-to application
Pay slips covering 6 months up-to application
Letter from employer
Employment contract
English test certificate
Marriage certificate and translations
Address correspondence
Proof of property ownership (property deeds)
Property owners ID ( copy of passport)
Letter from property owner
Declaration for spouse form
Consent for Home Office form
Biometric residence permit
Current passport (applicant)
Previous passport (applicant)
Current passport (spouse)

Can anyone see anything blatantly missing from my list?

Thanks again for any help, it's a big learning curve. :D

I don't see problem with the list but do not forget 28 days rule for most recently issued bank statement, payslip and employment letter.

Thank you.

My application was made online on 23rd December and my service point appointment is 21st January.

My last payslip for application is 18th December, and bank statements cover 6 months previous to 18th December showing all salary payments for this period.

This is okay or is the 28 days from my appointment date?

Hi, employment letter is dated 22nd Dec.

Thanks for your input, it's quite daunting and stressful doing it all for the first time. This forum has been like a therapy for my nerves about the application. :D
