Being housed by the council, is Public Funds. The property will have to be in your sole name. I assume that means the application to be housed must be in your sole name too becasue your partner has no recourse to public funds?businessmanuk wrote: ↑Thu Mar 11, 2021 12:45 amJust wanted to ask if applying for council house with a partner on spouse visa would effect her immigration at the time of renewal. Is it allowed to be on a council register as a partner being on a spouse visa but the main applicant is British? Thanks

Does this means it is okay to apply with partner who is on spouse visa as spouse or partner is not counted as accessing public funds?
If it is all done in your name only, as the quote states the NRPF partner is then not taking public funds. You will however, need the permission of the council for her to then live in the property in your sole name.JB007 wrote: ↑Thu Mar 11, 2021 3:26 pmThe property will have to be in your sole name.
