Child settlement visa. Child will likely be granted ILE.

Pity the child was not born in the UK as the child would have been British automatically.

You were already advised of this in May last year!!

Possibly yes but if ILE is granted, it should be refunded.

hi again

The processing of family visas is apparently very slow these days due to the Ukraine issue. Is there an option to bring the child to the UK using a visit visa and then apply for priority ILR from the UK? Please advise.

Kind Regards
Kurian

ILE is generally processed a bit quicker than spouse visas, which is mostly where the delays are.

No.

One more query on this please . As part of the application i am filling up VAF 4A Appendix 1 . The system also asks me to submit Appendix 2 which describes the category closest to my case as below

"As the child of a parent who is applying for entry clearance
as a partner or the child who is applying to join their parent
who is already in the UK and has been granted limited leave
as partner granted under the Immigration Rules in force on
09 July 2012"

I am confused by the "has been granted limited leave" part as both of us parents have ILR.

Your confusion is understandable as Appendix 2 is inappropriate.

Thanks again. My daughter has been granted ILE now. Do I need to request for the IHS refund or will they process it automatically?
