UK electrical Spam in Aus?

Will all UK electrical Spam work normally in Australia or is it better to buy stuff out there?

How do prices compare on things like LCD TV's and Fridges please?

Many thanks in advance for any information given.

If there is a website that already explains all of this, just point me in the direction, I'm not afraid to do my own research, but have not turned anything up at present.

as an australian currently in UK - i can happily say my aussie laptop/shaver/mobile phone etc all work fine with a 2quid pin converter in the UK, and stuff i bought in UK works fine in Oz.

havent bought any fridges/LCDs lately, so someone else can comment on that

why dont you spend 5 mins comparing internet prices for the same fridge/LCD on say a Currys/Comet website and compare it to Harvey Norman/Domayne/Myers prices in Oz. Yes there will be cheaper shops to buy from - but both sets of shops in both countries seem to sell stuff at recommended retail price as standard (rather than competitively)

Is there anything in Australia like the major on-line stores in the UK (i.e. www.amazon.co.uk and www.dabs.com ) that someone could recommend?

I can't imagine buying electicals from Curry's anymore
