Qualifications - ACCA

Hi - I am planning to emigrate to Australia and am not sure the best way to get my professional accounting qualification (ACCA) assessed. I would like to have it assessed by the AICA, but when i read their website it seems to be that i will be required to sit some Australian Tax exams if I want to do this. They only seem to accept ACA or CiMA. Is this correct? I would rather not sit any more exams to be honest. Any help gratefully accepted and when i make it to Melbourne will happily buy the beers!

ACCA is accepted for migration purposes by the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia (ICAA). Bear in mind that a skill assessment is only the first requirement for skilled migration, and there are many others.

But for a good career long term in Australia, you really should consider becoming an Australian CA. To achieve that, you'd need to do tax/law bridging study and then the CA Program.

United Kingdom CAs are exempted from the CA Program, ACCAs are not. Nor are CIMA members, who only get one credit from it.

dont worry nia and icaa accepts acca members suitable members to migrate.if you are not a member than u must have an additional university bachelors degree.BSc hons is also a great help
