Switching to Tier 2 General

Hey,

VISA history:

Came to UK Mar 09 (Ict), went to India on work for three months whilst holding valid visa on Aug 09.
Was here till jun 10. Due to health issue went to India on Jun 10 on valid visa(till Mar 11). Came again on August 11 (with current Tier 2 ICT) and I am here continuously till now.

Will I be able to switch Tier 2 general?

did you have a valid visa in the period March 11 - August 11?
was your August 11 visa entry clearance?

Hi,

I didnt apply visa till aug 2011 after it expired on mar 2011. what is entry clearance? ?

Sry I didnt apply till jun.. I applied in jun and got visa starting from aug.

an entry clearance application is when you apply from outside the UK.

Since you applied for entry clearance in June 2011 this unfortunately means that you are not eligible to switch to T2G. See Immigration Rule 245HD(c):
