Expired IELTS - Laminated certificate

Hi,

I am going to apply for Citizenship for UK, for English language requirement I am providing my IELTS Certificate dated 09 August 2002. Same certificate I used when I applied for student visa in August 2002 but I have realized it's laminated, Will it be an issue? Please note I am thinking for applying at my own not through NCS.
