Advice please !Break in Visas but 10 years continuous stay.

Post by garyhans » Sun May 04, 2014 12:08 am

Dear All,

My 10 years stay is approaching i.e. Jan 15. I have a Gap in my visas, in April 2009 my visa (international graduate scheme) was expiring, I applied on time but my application was returned with 'Invalid' stamp because the day I applied the new form came out and home office didn't gave me any right to appeal.

Then I re applied with an updated form, with exactly same documents and this time my bank statement was more thn a month old and no points were given and they stick to their decision.

Somehow after few months, I got right to appeal in October 2009 by writing to some higher authority (not sure how my advisor did it), and then got the tribunal hearing in Feb 2010 and hearing lasted for 3 mins hardly and judge was happy with my case and Home Office issued me visa on March 2010.

My concern is.. I hope my 10 years lawful stay is not broken because some say if you get the visa in the end then all that time from Apr 09 - March 10 counts. :?:

Please advice ..waiting your views !

Kind Regards

GH

If you appealed, it will have extended your leave.
