April 2014 - Naturalisation Application Timeline

Hi Guys,

HO call center information is strange.

I called HO on 29th May and progress was decision being made.
Then called again on Monday 2nd June then progress was Application under consideration.
Then called again on Tuesday 3rd June and progress was Decision being made and waiting letters to be printed.
Called again on Wednesday and progress was Application is in final stages please wait and you will get decision soon

And finally called today and progress was application is progressing normally please wait for 6 months. ha ha haha

So i am not sure if decision being made then how come application status jump back and forth.

Dont be surprised about this... knowing this HO call centre, i have a feeling even after you receive ur approval, u call them for fun and ask them about ur application, they might reply ' Your application is awaiting to be allocated to a case working team'

I haven't called yet and from responses from you guys I lose hope to call and get an update

Its really funny .... what I think is their system is not updated regularly which means if a CW has approved application he/she didn't update the system same time they may update all of their cases on weekly basis.
In this scenario the last update on the system is under consideration until CW haven't updated the system.

Is my assumption don't know its correct or not.

from last 2-3 days I am getting call from no number. my insurance company OCTOGON can be chasing for my NCB I haven't supplied. But they have received today.

So will the call can be from HO ??? do they call with held no ?? funny thing is after 2-3 bells it stops ringing . any thoughts ??

To be honest calling them isn't a issue provided call is free... its you will know they still have ur application with them.

I called them once and they told me that a decision was made and the post was sent out. From what i have seen in the forum, i think the call center person gets a visibility only after the decision is made - before that i think it is a black hole for them as well.

Oh wow! This morning I received a white envelope so didn't think much of it. However, I nearly passed out when I saw it was from the Council, inviting me to attend my Citizenship Ceremony! Woohoo!

I guess the brown envelope will arrive shortly.

Oh and to put your minds at ease; I called the HO twice last week, both times were told my case hasn't reached the caseworker yet. So it seems they don't have a clue about our timelines.

I'm in office now. I received call from my wife and she said I have citizenship invitation letter from council.
I haven't receive approval letter yet. I applied on 25th April. I will post complete timeline soon.

Called Home Office today and been told that decision has been made. I made my application on the 23rd of April.

I have been told same "decision been made" when i called HO on 29th May but staill waiting for letter.

Allow 10 working days to get the approval letter. So my expectation is to reach me on the 16th June. For you it should be early next week..

Sent them email and received the reply today saying decision has been made and you letter will soon sent out to you. It also mentioned in the email saying that they don't have liberty to disclose the outcome of the application.

From previous posts it usually means your wait is nearing the end and there actually is some update in the system which they usually dont share over the phone.

Also I have been trying to find your timeline but cant find it, there are numerous post from you but no timeline.

Called Home office yesterday and they confirmed letters sent today, So don't know when they will arrive as havn't received in post today.

received letter today from my council giving me my date of ceremony and congratulating me on becoming a british citizen, but not yet got the letter from immigration. i guess the use snail mail.

Further update:
I was away this week but got the letter from home office. So not sure what the day it arrived, but was dated 27 May.

29 Approvals out of the 79 applications that we are tracking on this forum

This is a good tracker. I would suggest adding the NCS office applied at because I suspect they process these as a group by week by NCS office batch.
