Refused boarding by EASYJET

Im Portuguese living and working in the UK for 15 years my wife from Philippines living in Portugal with RESIDENT CARD for family member of EU citizen last week when try to board EASYJET from FARO TO GATWICK..maneger of EASYJET dont let her to fly
can we ask compensation?

Well they can refuse who they like, so no comp, sure they play safe and reject anything not in their normal sphere of things, and who can blame them with huge fines looming if they carry someone not 100% squeaky clean.

That's why I always recommend to get the Schengen visa, even if not strictly required for the EC directive, let some other fool push the envelope if they want, personally I want a hassle free trip and I will pay if necessary..

Put it down to experience.

Wanderer, I believe the Op's wife was travelling from Portugal (where she's resident) to the UK with her RC as spouse of an EU national. The OP appears to live in the UK. Maybe this raised a query on right to travel?
