EEA1 application question

Post by chaoclive » Sat Aug 02, 2014 12:42 am

Hi there

I'm going to be applying for EEA1 in the near future after getting my employment contract. I want to get this ironed out ASAP so my partner can apply for EEA2. I have a few questions:

1) I will only be submitting a contract of employment just after having signed it (e.g. signed on August 18th, applying on August 19th). Is it going to be an issue that I won't be submitting a payslip?

2) I've been through the current form (which may change) and realise that the question is a bit silly, but... Section 3 is called 'YOUR EEA NATIONAL FAMILY MEMBER WHO IS EXERCISING TREATY RIGHTS'. I am the EEA national - should I just fill in my own details here. Obviously this is going to be a duplication as my details are also in section 1 'APPLICANT’S DETAILS'. Does it matter?

3) I will be providing my tenancy agreement and a single copy of a bank statement delivered to this address. Is that enough?

I know that some people will say that there's no need to apply for EEA1 but I've already decided that I'm going to apply so I don't need advice on this. It's only £55 after all. I want the Home Office to recognise that I'm a qualified person (mainly because I renounced British citizenship) as this will make EEA2 easier. Plus, my partner won't have any documents in his name by this time anyway.

Thanks guys!
C

1. Just the contract should be enough
2. Skip section 3. It is for cases the EEA national who exercise treaty rights is not applying him self. This is not your case.
3. Should be enough.
Check the FAQ before posting!
Citizenship (adults, children, passport)
