Tier 2 General Visa - Refusal

Post by uk_999 » Wed Aug 20, 2014 8:41 am

Hi,

My Tier 2 General Visa along with my wife as dependent has been refused for the below reasons:
1. English Language - I did not provide the original degree certificate of my highest qualification with my visa application.
Although the interviewer in VHS decided what to put in the bag at the time of application and documents submission(I carried everything along and confirmed from her if anything else is required), my original degree certificate was not put in and I did not get the required 10 points in English Language.
2. Maintenance - My CoS doesn't state about my maintenance. My account did not have the required amount for last 3 months. And, the other savings account details provided had the money but the original statement was not provided so was not considered.
Now, my sponsor is an A-rated company and I provided the CoS from my employer, but they are not going to take care of my accommodation and maintenance. However, I am getting relocation expenses and a letter from my employer was attached with the CoS letter. Also, I provided my savings account statement which had the money but not for straight 90 days. The other account(on my wife's name) had sufficient money required combined(GBP 945 + GBP 630) for more than 6 months. But since original statement wasn't provided, it wasn't considered.
Now, I have one chance to go apply for an Administrative review. Can I,
1. Provide the original degree certificate when submit the review form?
2. Attach the original bank statement of my wife's account which has the sufficient amount of money for required timeframe?

Please guide. Thanks in advance.

Thanks for the reply mate.

Yes, the account statement is provided by the bank itself and contains the bank stamp on each page.

So, is it alright to submit the original documents with the review form? And can my wife's account be used to showcase the maintenance capability as we both are travelling together?

PS: The doubt in mind is because of the reason that the review form mentions not to submit any new document with the review form.

It does state no new documents but your argument is that the docs were submitted at the time of application but not included by VFS.
Which is the case for the degree. The bank statement for your wife - did you have that with you as well?

Thanks again for the quick reply.

I attached the bank passbook photocopy as the nearby bank branch refused to provide the stamped account statement and stated that only home branch can provide that to me.
However, I have got the original bank statement with bank stamp with me now. Will it be okay to submit it?

Submit the documents, you had the evidence at the time and if VFS did not include the evidence you have a valid claim for admin review.
Good luck
